What To Know Before You Book!

We want every dog and owner to feel confident before booking with us. Below are answers to our most common questions about daycare, boarding, training, and what life at Paws Up Vacay looks like.

FAQs

Do all dogs need approval before booking?

1

No, only dogs joining for daycare and boarding need approved through a meet and greet first.

Are you a traditional daycare or boarding facility?

2

No. We are not a traditional daycare facility. We are family-run and farm-based, with an emphasis on structure, relationships, and real-life fulfillment out of our home.

What makes you different?

3

We prioritize calm, clarity, and real life. Dogs aren’t overstimulated — they’re here to feel fulfilled, understood, and supported.

Do you accept all dogs?

No. Not every dog thrives in a pack-based setting. Some may need training first, and others may do better with one-on-one care.

Client Reviews

“Mariah and Vinnie from Paws Up Vacay are nothing short of amazing. They welcomed my out of control large breed dog under their care and returned a well behaved angel after the board and train. We went from chaos to a controlled situation where Ricky knows place now. They have gone above and beyond with him. He also really enjoys their day adventures where he gets to explore and be a dog under professional guidance. They have become a vital part of Ricky’s life and I am forever grateful to them.”

“I’m so grateful for Mariah and pawsup!  My dog Molly loves going to daycare to play with all her dog friends!  When we go on vacation so does Molly!  She gets so excited as we get closer to paws up farm!  Molly and I had a month long training with Mariah when she was a puppy.  What a difference!  She taught me how to work with Molly and has continued to support us with touch up training days.  Molly and I also participate in the pack walks put on by paws up.  Thanks to paws up-especially Mariah and Vinnie for the love and compassion they have shown to my girl Molly!”

— Cheri P.

“Luis was trained by Mariah at Paws up Vacay, and it was the best decision I could have ever made. Luis is a labradoodle, and we all know they are very smart, independent, and have separation anxiety. Mariah was able to work wonders and fix all of those things in him. He can sit outside a restaurant without whining. Doesn’t jump on people when they walk in the door and is able to go to “place” with out a fuss. He can walk off leash and walk right next to me. She has helped our relationship so much. I would even go as far as to say my interactions with them were LIFE CHANGING!”

— Yvonne G.

“We adopted a 2-year-old GSD from the shelter and she was scared of everything. We had tried 2 other trainers and we got asked to leave a group training class offered by a popular local organization, because the trainer did not know how to help us.

Then we heard about Mariah from one of her neighbors who told us she was the “dog whisperer”. We figured Paws-Up Vacay was just what we were looking for.  We first signed up for weekly daycare training and then we signed up for board and train a few times. Our dog has advanced so much under Mariah’s training. She is now a well-adjusted perfect dog and very well behaved. She can wander off leash and reliably comes when she is called, she goes to “place” when told and even stays on place when someone comes to the door. Amazing! We especially like that we can see what the dogs are up to on daily Instagram videos.”

What People Are Saying

“Fester has been going to Paws Up for almost 5 years. He does daycare every week and occasional overnight stays , he feels right at home. We love Mariah and Vinnie and know they take great care of him 🤍“

— Desi & Brandon

“Paws Up Vacay has been Wrigley’s home away from home since he was five months old (now 3). Whether for training, daycare, or boarding, their care, structure, and deep understanding of dogs gives us complete peace of mind — we always know he’s safe, supported, and treated like family, even as a sensitive, high-energy dog.”

— Keira

“Paws Up Vacay has been an absolute blessing for me and my senior dog, Nikko. At 15 years old, he’s mostly deaf and going blind, and finding a place I trust with him is not easy. From the very beginning, they’ve shown him nothing but patience, love, and genuine care.

When I travel, I can truly relax knowing Nikko is in such good hands. Georgie is the cutest pack leader I’ve ever seen, and Vinny and Mariah are wonderful people who clearly have a deep love for animals. They go above and beyond for both their own pets and the ones entrusted to them. I can’t recommend Paws Up Vacay enough for daycare, boarding, or training.

“Don’t walk to Paws Up Vacay….RUN! Mariah and Vinnie are magic! They will not only train your dog but they will train you as well. I can’t recommend them enough. Our dog goes three days a week and is always so excited to go, we round the corner and he almost physically vibrates…that tells me everything I need to know. I can’t recommend this business enough! Oh, and get you some farm fresh eggs while you’re there.”

— Lindsey

"We cannot recommend Paws Up Vacay enough! Finding a place where we feel 100% comfortable leaving my dog is usually a challenge, but Mariah and her team have created something truly special.
What sets them apart is the structured, farm-based environment. It’s not just a kennel; it’s a place where my pup gets to be part of a real 'pack'. I love that they prioritize calm coexistence and balanced training, so I know my dog isn't just running in circles all day but is actually learning and staying mentally fulfilled.
The daily photo updates and report cards are the highlight of my day when we are away—it's so reassuring to see my dog happy and well-exercised. Whether it’s for daycare or long-term boarding, they treat every dog like family. If you want peace of mind and a tired, happy pup, this is the place!"
