Hi! I’m Mariah — the heart behind Paws Up Vacay.
I founded this business out of a deep love for dogs, structure, and the kind of care I would want for my own pack. What began as a passion has grown into a trusted farm-based haven where dogs get to truly be dogs — running free, learning daily, and headed home fulfilled.
With years of hands-on experience in dog behavior, balanced training, and pack management, I’ve intentionally created an environment that blends structure with freedom, routine with love, and training with fun. Whether a dog is here for daycare, boarding, or a full board-and-train program, every day is thoughtfully designed to support confidence, calmness and good behavior.
At Paws Up Vacay, i treat every dog like family — because to me, they are.
When I’m not working with the dogs, you’ll find me chasing my toddler, caring for our family farm, or out enjoying a ride — whether thats horseback riding, mountain biking, or cruising in our side-by-side. We’re a big adventure family, so when the sun’s out, there’s a good chance we’re on the lake, soaking it up on the boat.

*The Muscle Behind the Operation (and the Fences)*

While you may not always see him front and center, Vinnie plays a big role in keeping Paws Up Vacay running strong — quite literally. From building new play yards and fixing fences, to leading Adventure Walks wrangling pups on pack outings, and keeping the property in tip-top shape, he’s the guy we all count on.
He’s the one behind the scenes making sure things flow smoothly, safely, and with a whole lot of heart. From helping with early morning routines and keeping the dogs rooms and barn clean and sanitized, to Whether it’s helping with early morning routines, keeping the dog room and barn clean or sanitizing, ***working hands-on with training dogs on Tuesday and Wednesdays,*** Vinnie plays a key role in supporting the daily rhythm of the farm. Whether he’s prepping the property or making sure the coffee’s strong before sunrise, his steady presence keeps the whole pack grounded.
When he’s not on dog duty, you’ll find him enjoying the outdoors, or working on a project. Vinnie loves time with his family, enjoying the lake, driving his side-by-side, and riding his street or dirt bike. He’s the quiet strength behind the scenes and a big part of what makes our little farm operation feel like home.

This is the heart of Paws Up Vacay — our pack, herd, and flock. They share space, routines, and real life with us every day, helping create an environment where dogs learn calm coexistence and humans learn to slow down.

Georgie is a big part of daily life at Paws Up Vacay — often found handing out treats, joining pack walks, and learning alongside the dogs at her own pace. Her presence brings joy, patience, and a reminder that real-life learning includes pauses, snacks, and plenty of encouragement.

You’ll probably spot her with a chicken tucked under one arm, wearing a princess dress and cowgirl boots.

What she loves: RZR rides with daddy, horse rides with mommy, coloring, and spending her days playing with and brushing her animals.

The Dogs and Farm help shape the rhythm of life at Paws Up Vacay. From the dogs in our care to the herd and flock that share our space, they model calm coexistence, boundaries, and real-world awareness every single day.

Their presence brings natural enrichment, healthy distractions, and meaningful work — from sensory stimulation for our daycare and boarding dogs to fulfillment through herding and shared routines. Learning happens naturally here, for dogs and humans alike.

THE OG SENIOR OF OUR PACK
Sweet, sassy & a little spicy. Loves the little dogs (especially the old-men) and is good with everyone — but will absolutely stir the pot on purpose if given the chance

THE ULTIMATE COMFORT DOG
calm, confident, amazing with puppies, and always ready for hugs. If you stop petting him, he will let you know you’re not done yet — and he’s right

THE RIGHT-HAND MAN
Diesel is the real deal, confident, steady, and deeply trusted. He plays a key role in helping assess dogs for daycare and boarding

THE ADVENTURE BUDDY
Ace is always on the move, he helps with farm chores, and is a trusted trail partner with his off-leash skills. He’s the dog newbies look to for guidance.

The baby girl with big personality, Sienna knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to let you know

THE GENTLE SOUL
Louis is calm — so calm. A true cuddle companion. He doesn’t fit the typical Frenchie stereotype, and thats exactly what makes him special.

GEORGIES BESTIE
Honestly Boo is wild, she brings the fire, but what better of a fit for a toddler’s first dog
Maxx

THE SPORT DOG
Maxx is a true Malinois — focused, driven, and built for sport work. He’s 100% Vinnie’s dog and happiest when he has a job.

LIVESTOCK GUARDIAN DOG
Moose is our livestock guardian in the making. Still a puppy, he’s learning the ropes now — but one day hell grow into his role protecting the farm
